The Travel Talk show values travel as a powerful way to better understand and contribute to the world in which we live. We strive to keep our listeners up to date with the latest exciting offers and breaking news in the world of travel.  Travel Talk covers all aspects of travel from city breaks to luxury cruises, from the latest in airline news to the best affordable getaway breaks. Ed has broadcast live from all over the world to his 80,000 regular listeners weekly. From China to the Colorado Mountains, from Berlin’s 25 years celebrations of the fall of the wall to Belfast’s wonderful Queen’s festivals.

Ed grew up in Cork, Ireland and studied at Presentation Brothers College Cork. He attended the Dublin Institute of Technology where he received a Diplomas in Enterprise and Business Development. But his real education came travelling throughout Europe (since his first school tour to Italy, Switzerland, Monaco and France in July 1979).  Spending one third of his adult life living out of a suitcase has shaped his thinking.  Ed has also travelled extensively throughout the world and has lived in both Prague and South Africa.

He has travelled widely in the US and Africa and has also spent much time in China, Cuba, Costa Rica, Scandinavia, Finland, Russia, Abu Dhabi and the Baltic States.  He was the Travel Editor for “Glow” magazine and has written travel articles for the Sunday Times, the Irish Independent, the Cape Times and has also written a variety of freelance articles for a variety of travel magazines.  He has also written the popular “Gourmet Traveller”  column for the Love Food magazine for the Irish Independent Newspaper and enjoys his weekly “Travel Talk” radio show on Dublin’s Sunshine Radio 106.8FM.  Ed won a prestigious press award from the Czech Tourist Board at the World Travel Market in 2013 for his travel articles and programmes. Ed currently lives in Dublin
